Artist Statement
"This photo was taken in February 2012 in the province of Utrecht in the Netherlands. The temperature was cold at 35°f which created the crisp light and the sun was low because of wintertime. The light found a spot between the darkness of the trees onto the drum kit.
"I was standing 100 feet away from the drummer, and there was a path between the trees where I could see the depth of the forest. I wanted to create an interaction with the wooden drum kit and it’s origins from the trees. The drummer was the guide who connected the woods with rhythm, through a mystic moment."
