Artist Statement
"It was cool and overcast that morning so I packed my gear and went into the forest looking for fog enshrouded trees to photograph. Instead, I came upon an abandoned homeless campsite where, among the discarded items, was a doll’s head with piercing blue eyes. Who did it belong to? Why was it here? I laid down on the ground and, without moving the doll’s head, photographed it.
"Almost a year later, thoughts of this doll’s head lying still and alone on the forest floor drift into my head and I wonder…"
