Artist Statement

This photo captures the signature of one of the world's great geologic oddities: the apparent locomotion of rocks weighing hundreds of pounds along a "playa" dry lake bed at a site in Death Valley known as The Racetrack. The Playa lies some 27 miles off the paved road from Ubehebe Crater, north Death Valley.
