Artist Statement
I often wander, walking and watching at streets, roads, and intersections—the rivers of life. Nothing submitted for the Coastal Arts League show was sought out but was seen, as I let forms, lines, and patterns interact. I feel that what I saw was revealed to me as a magic and transcending moment in time. While the actual places for these interactions may differ—here, the usually busy Union Square in NYC yields just one person crossing while construction is underway—I am struck by the recurring geometry of what is essentially photographically seen through the action of light.
