    Artist Statement

    This is a personal image to raise awareness about breast cancer, to honor the survivors and the warriors that did not make it. This piece focuses on the physical contrast between these two women - Helena's daughter and my mother - while celebrating the similarities in their experiences. This photo is dedicated to Helena.
