Artist Statement
As a photographer I have always been fascinated by people. In December 2008, I was visiting the outdoor hot spring bath in Budapest, Hungary. The air temperature was below zero and the water was around 93 degrees.
Standing there, watching all the people reduced to silhouettes in the haze, I realized how easily distance and isolation can lead to prejudice and xenophobia. A case of Us & Them.
