Artist Statement
This photograph was taken along the Jersey Shore in the late afternoon when shadows were most prominent.
I could not help notice the contrast between the sand and the dark shadows of the fence which together created an abstract pattern.
The photograph was taken using an Olympu E-1 digital camera with a 14-55mm f/2.8-3.5 Zuiko lens at f/11, 1/500 sec. and ISO 200. Minor adjustments using levels and conversion to black and white were done in Photoshop.
