Artist Statement
This image was captured in the late fall south of the La Plata mountain range in southwestern Colorado. I'd been to the location once previously and after reviewing the images from that shoot, decided upon the exact setup location for a re-shoot. The juxtaposition of the door in relation to the vastness of the range of mountains in the distance enhanced the oddity and unique humor of finding a frosted glass wooden doorway in such an unlikely spot.
The photo was taken using an Olympus E-330 digital camera, with a Zuiko 4-45 zoom lens and polarizer filter at f3.5, stopped down 1 ¾ stops.
