Artist Statement
Crossroads is about different worlds meeting, and different ways of travel: the Bedouin with his camel, and the flight with tourists, worlds apart, but maybe to cross paths soon. The image was shot in Hurgadha, Egypt, with an analogue camera and slide film, using a fill in flash. When the plane showed up, I asked the Bedouin to turn around and had one snap before the picture was gone.
