Artist Statement
The image was taken with an IR modified Canon 50D and Canon 17-55mm lens. The exposure was 1/30th sec at F/10.
I waited for several hours at Deadhorse Point, Utah for the storm clouds and fog to clear to get some canyons in this shot. As the clouds and fog broke I was able to get off a few exposures before the magical light was gone. I decided to shoot this image in BW infrared due to the cloudy weather and lack of "color" in the scene. Also the look of greenery on IR images added a little flavor to the background canyons.
