The Coastal Arts League (CAL) Museum invites artists to participate in the 25th Annual CAL Juried Show – December 9, 2009 through December 30, 2009.

The Coastal Arts League is a non-profit organization 501(c)(3) 94-2704204 founded in 1979. The Coastal Arts League takes pride in showing the best of an eclectic range of artistic styles. All artwork exhibited or stored at The Coastal Arts League is insured only by the artist or his/her representative.

The Juror for the the 25th Annual Juried show is:

Alysanne McGaffey, Former President of CAL who is also nationally known as a Member of the Bay Area Figurative Movement has agreed to jury our national show.

Guidelines:

• The show is open to all living artists. Works are subject to all guidelines as outlined below, submitted as 8" x 10" computer prints or photos and received by November 15, 2009. Prints will not be returned.
• Identifying information must only be indicated on the back of the print: Artist, Title, Size, Medium, Price and Entry Number.
• Artwork entries can be delivered in person on December 6, 7 or 9. All accepted artworks delivered by USPS or any other carrier must arrive before December 7, 2009 and must include full “postage” for the return of artworks.
• CAL reserves the right to refuse to show any entry not accurately represented by entry image(s) or not suitably presented for exhibition.
• Entries for the Juror must be submitted as 2-D (photo) prints. All entries including oil, acrylic, prints, watercolor, drawings, pastel, mixed media, photography, fiber, metal, jewelry, ceramics, graphics, and 3-D works may be represented by up to 3 views.
• All 2-D works must be suitably framed for exhibition, no clip on frames accepted.
• 3-D: All work including sculpture, bas-relief, textiles, pottery, jewelry, ceramics, mixed media and wearable art must include additional exhibition materials as necessary. For those works that cannot be touched by the viewing public, a protective see through covering must be provided by the exhibiting artist.
• Artwork must be able to pass through a double standard size door.
• If any work requires more than one person to lift or move, the artist(s) must provide assistance for installation.
• Artwork cannot have won a prize in any previous CAL show.
• Artwork must be the original work of the artist and not copied, no work from kits, or work done in classes with teacher’s additions will be accepted.

Entry Fees -No Limit on the Number of Entries

• CAL Members entry fee is $10.00 for the first entry, $5.00 for each subsequent entry.
• For NON -CAL Member(s) the entry fee is $15.00 for the first entry, $7.50 for each subsequent entry.

Deadlines / Calendar

• Entries must be received by November 15, 2009
• Acceptance notifications for competition via e-mail or phone November 21, 2009
• Award Reception 5 to 8 p.m. and Award Ceremony at 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2009
• Pick-up Art Work on January 2,3,or 4 January, 2010

Sales / Price

• Works will be offered for sale at the price indicated on the entry form. For each work sold during the exhibit, a donation of 30% of the final sale price will be made to The Coastal Arts League. Work entered may be listed as NFS or Private Collection.
• Work not sold, with no return postage that is not reclaimed within 30 days remains the property of the Coastal Arts League.
