Arnold Grossman

As a Graphic Artist, my work is rooted in an earlier architectural education that gave me an interest in form and structure that I want to express in my drawing.

My goal is to produce a reasonable drawing that will portray that sense of place and to invent a shorthand way of expressing the mood, the spirit and the life of the places I like to explore.

The ocean and the seashore, the desert landscape of the Southwest and the high country of the Sierra Nevada are areas of interest that become sources of imagery for me. Each scene becomes a personal statement and is an expression of my love for the natural world and my concern for the environment.

Mediums I enjoy are transparent water color and print making techniques of etching, wood-block, linoleum and mono-print.
